Suspected Gunman Arrested For
Serangoon Ave 4 Murder |

The Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) have
arrested a man believed to be involved in the murder of Lim Hock Soon
early this morning at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. |
|
Two other men and three women had also been
arrested during the raid. |
|
On 25 February 2006 at about 4am , RMP
conducted a raid at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur . Two Singaporean men, one
Malaysian man and three Malaysian women were arrested. |
|
Amongst the six was 39-year-old Tan Chor Jin, who
was on our wanted list for the murder of Lim Hock Soon at Serangoon Ave 4 on 15
February 2006 . He fled Singapore shortly after the murder, together with
another accomplice, Ho Yueh Keong who is still at large. |

The other 42 year-old Singaporean man arrested is
believed to be involved in a separate murder which took place near a coffeeshop
at Blk 233 Yishun St 21 on 2 February 2005 . |

All six subjects are currently in the custody of RMP.
We are in contact with our Malaysian counterparts on the status of the two
Singaporeans arrested. |

Director Criminal Investigation Department, Senior
Assistant Commissioner Lock Wai Han said, ＾Since the commission of the Serangoon
murder, our officers have been working round the clock to establish the
whereabouts of the two suspects. We have sought the assistance of our Malaysian
counterparts, as well as the Police forces in the neighbouring countries to look
out for the two men. We would like to thank RMP for their support rendered to us
in tracking down Tan Chor Jin. This, once again, showcased the close cooperation
between the two forces in the fight against crime. ＾ |
