Catch the debut of 12 P65 Members of
Parliament (MPs) as they perform Hip Hop dance alongside 300 outstanding
spunky Hip Hop dancers. |
|
This entire P65 MPs Team will be led by Mr
Teo Ser Luck, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community
Development, Youth and Sports. |
|
Never before at Chingay Parade of DreamS has
the fun and entertainment factor of the after-parade activity been
ratcheted to such heights. |
|
For the first time, after the main parade,
the entire parade route will be transformed into a hot hub of
exhilarating events with the theme of ˇ° Hi-Fun @ Chingay 2007 ˇ±. |
|
The parade route will be divided into three
fun zones, each zone taking on a unique theme, with different activities
for the enjoyment of all Singaporeans and tourists alike. |
|
Two zones will open up for street parties ¨C
one zone will feature samba, belly and hot dancers on mobile platforms,
while another zone will be pulsating with Hip Hop music for free-for-all
street dancing. |
|
The last zone, which is the longest stretch
of the parade route, will see a multitude of activities happening
concurrently ¨C a boisterous carnival, an adventure play land set up for
kids and adults and memorable photo opportunities with P65 MPs, floats
and Chingay performing artistes! |
|
The People's Association (PA), in
collaboration with several private sector companies, will bring in
overseas artistes including master artistes to perform alongside our
very own local talents at Chingay 2007, which will be held on Friday 23
February and Saturday 24 February 2007 at Orchard Road. |
|
This will make Chingay 2007 a very special
and breathtaking event. |
|
For example, live and TV audience can expect
Russian Belarus Circus dancers gyrating alongside 80 local dancers from
the SAF Music and Drama Company, Sichuan face-changing masters wowing
audience in a combined item with 150 dancers from Dance Ensemble
Singapore, local performers dancing within giant balloons which will
roll along the entire parade route, made possible by Beijing experts,
villagers from China Pujiang County staging their village folk item ˇ°God
of Fortunes and The Eight Immortalsˇ± alongside our local stilt walkers
and other dancers. |

Members of the Fujian Cultural Association
Pole Act Group aged 12 to 15 will demonstrate their skills together with
our 100 local adult pole act performers. |
|
Other than the foreign and local combined
acts, Malay, Indian and Chinese dancers from the People's Association
Talents will jointly create an item that is both innovative and
colourful. |
