Former Cabinet minister Lim Kim San died at
home yesterday. He was 89. |
|
Mr Lim is best remembered as the man who
brought affordable high-quality public housing to the masses. |
|
In the 1960's, as the first Chairman of the
Housing & Development Board (HDB) and subsequently as Minister for
National Development, Mr Lim helped the Government shape the public
housing landscape in Singapore. |

Mr Lim is survived by his sons, Lim
Kiat Seng & Lim Kiat Beng, and daughters, Lim Eng Tin, Lim Siu Tin
& Lim Siu Horng. His wife died in 1994. |

The wake will be held at his
residence, 81 Dalvey Road. The funeral will be on Sunday 23 Jul
2006. |
