     Suspect in Henderson Road murder surrenders himself

Man Turns Himself in for Henderson Road Murder
 
A man surrendered himself to the Police this morning in connection with the murder at Henderson Road yesterday afternoon (7 Mar 2006).
This morning at about 9.50 am, Police received a call from a security officer that the man had turned himself in at the Accident & Emergency Department of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH).
Police officers responded to the scene and placed the man under arrest. A knife with a blade length of about 12 cm was recovered from him. The 52-year old man did not offer any resistance when police took him into custody. He is currently warded in a hospital for high fever.
The suspect, who is working as an odd-job labourer, will be charged tomorrow (9 Mar 2006) for the murder of 41-year-old Hussein Bin Abdul Rahman.

Man Murdered in Henderson Road
A man in his 40s died this afternoon (7 Mar 2006) after he was fatally wounded in Henderson Road. Police are investigating the case as murder.
On 7 March 06, at about 12pm, Police received a call that a man was found lying motionless on a grass verge near Block 91 Henderson Road.
Upon arrival, Police officers found a tanned complexion man, believed to be in his 40s, lying in a prone position on the grass verge between Blocks 91 and 92 Henderson Road. He was wearing a pair of dark blue pants with a pair of brown slippers, but was not wearing any shirt.
A blood trail was found leading from the grass verge to a unit on the second level of Block 92 Henderson Road. Police are currently conducting investigations at the said unit. No weapon has been found at the scene yet.
The deceased suffered multiple injuries on the upper half of the body and was conveyed to the hospital unconscious. He was subsequently pronounced dead at 12.20pm. Police are investigating the murder.
