The Sports
Museum, located at the West Entrance of the National
Stadium, was established in 1983.
|

Its
three main objectives are: to serve as a repository for
sports objects of historical, aesthetic and scientific
importance; to inform, educate and entertain the public of
Singapore's sporting heritage; and to honour our local
sports heroes and heroines.
|
|
The
Sports Museum includes the development of sports from
colonial times to Singapore's independence. Olympic games,
traditional and indigenous games and the Hall of Fame and
Roll of Honour galleries, which commemorate and celebrate
the achievements of our world-class athletes.
